Privacy Policy
How we handle your information — plainly, and honestly.
Last updated: October 7, 2026
GutterGate is a small, family-owned U.S. manufacturer of downspout protection products, sold direct-to-consumer and through our dealer network. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We wrote it in plain English — no walls of legalese.
Information We Collect
We collect the information you give us directly so we can run our business and serve you well:
- Order & contact details — your name, email address, shipping address, and phone number when you place an order or send us an inquiry.
- Dealer portal account info — business name, contact person, email, phone, and service area when a dealer applies for or logs into the dealer portal.
- Communication preferences — whether you've asked to receive product updates, launch notifications, or support replies.
How We Use Your Information
We use your personal information to:
- Fulfill and ship your orders, and handle returns or exchanges.
- Respond to your questions, quotes, and support requests.
- Provide warranty support and product guidance.
- Send occasional product updates and launch news — only when you've opted in.
We never sell your personal information to anyone.
Cookies & Analytics
We use standard analytics tools (such as Google Analytics) to understand how visitors use our site so we can improve it. These tools use cookies to collect anonymous usage data like pages visited and approximate location.
We do not use cookies to identify you personally for advertising.
You can disable or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time. Most browsers let you block cookies, clear existing ones, or browse privately. Disabling cookies may affect some site features.
Third-Party Services
We rely on trusted third parties to handle parts of your order, and each operates under its own privacy policy:
- Payment processors (such as Stripe) handle your card information securely. We never see or store your full card number.
- Shipping carriers receive the address and contact details needed to deliver your order.
We only share the details each service needs to complete your order or inquiry.
Data Retention
We keep your order and support records for as long as needed for business, tax, and warranty purposes. If you ask us to delete your information, we'll remove it where we can while keeping what we're legally required to retain.
Your Rights
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information at any time by emailing privacy@guttergate.com.
If you live in a U.S. state with privacy laws (such as California, Virginia, or Colorado), you have the right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of your personal information. Because we never sell your data, there's nothing to opt out of — but we'll honor any request you make to limit how your information is used.
We'll respond to verified requests within a reasonable timeframe.
Changes to This Policy
If we update this policy, we'll post the revised version on this page with a new "last updated" date. We won't make material changes that reduce your rights without notice here.
